Peacocks have always held a special fascination for me – it’s probably related to the vibrant colours. I once fancied the idea of owning an acreage and raising them… until I spent some time at a friends place and listened to how incredible loud they are, not to mention other less than desirable qualities lol! I think I will just stick to painting them! The males of the species are the showy ones while the females are rather plain. The peacock is considered the manifestation of the celestial phoenix on earth. Its mesmerizing colors and the “thousand eyes” on its tail promote fame and good luck in feng shui and enhance one’s protection and awareness. In Greco-Roman mythology the peacock tail has the “eyes” of the stars. In Hinduism, the peacock is associated with Lakshmi who represents patience, kindness and luck.

I use high resolution scans to create a great quality print in various sizes. The print is adhered to a gallery index (1.5″ high) wood panel using my custom process. The image is sealed with medium, and varnish to create a smooth finish. I appreciate that art is an investment and while owning an original is desirable it is often not easy on the finances! I developed this process to share my work on a smaller and more affordable scale. My prints are perfect for any room in your home or office, They sit well on shelves and mantles and do not need to be hung on a wall. They make adding and changing your decor easy, affordable and make great gifts.
