Have I mentioned how excited I still get when I see a hummingbird? I don’t think I will ever tire of seeing their tiny wings flitting and darting about. I love painting them and take a great deal of creative licence when it comes to colours and markings. I let an intuitive sense of colour be my guide rather than trying to be true to the species.
